Aotea Gas continues to grow adding organic garden supplies, online ordering for LPG, refining our systems to better support our residential, commercial, and tourism customers.
We’re proud to keep a reliable supply of LPG to our island homes, schools, marae, health centre and businesses ensuring cooking, hot water and heating is available when needed.
Island life can present challenges with cyclones and weather events affecting freight sailings, wharf and road closures but the experience of Aotea Gas & Garden ensures our residents and visitors have always gas available when it is needed.

FAQ
- Can I store the gas cylinder inside? Never – cylinders must be stored in a well ventilated area.
- Does the gas cylinder have to be stored on a concrete base? Yes all cylinders must avoid direct contact to the ground as this will rust the bottom and potentially cause a gas leak.
- Can I install my own gas lines and connections? No – all gas lines must be installed by registered gas fitter.
- Can I have more than 100kg of gas on my property? Yes but you must obtain a Location Compliance Certificate from an approved inspector.
